Commentary
And when it was established that there is no doubt in His saying: "And no one is able to bring what is like it, how then about what contradicts it," while it is specific to the completeness of knowledge and the comprehensiveness of ability, it is appropriate to follow it with His saying, as a continuation of "Say, Allah knows best" [Al-Kahf: 26]. "And recite" means read in the sense of continuity, "what has been revealed to you," and the verb is built in the passive form because the address is with the Prophet, blessings and peace be upon him, and it is certain that the one who has revealed to him is Allah, glorified and exalted is He. "From the Book of your Lord," who has perfected your upbringing in the story of the People of the Cave and others, for those who desire it without turning to anything else, and they followed what is in it, trusting in His promise and warning, and in His affirmation and negation, and upon others.
And when the reason for refraining from conveying the message of the Messenger is the presence of someone who refutes it or it has become unclear to the Messenger, Allah, exalted is He, said: "There is no changing of His words," so there is no doubt in its occurrence, and there is no excuse for negligence in conveying it. And abrogation is not a change in this sense, rather it is a goal for what was. "And you will not find" means in any way "any refuge other than Him," meaning no lower status than His exalted rank to the last of the ranks, "a refuge," meaning a shelter and a place of retreat that you lean towards, which will prevent you from Him if you fall short in that.
