And when this context is in indication that they have Hell, clearer than the sun, He said: ﴿That﴾ meaning the great matter which we have clarified of their warning ﴿is their recompense﴾. But when He was judging by their misguidance and foolishness, He clarified the recompense by saying: ﴿Hell﴾ and stated the causation by saying: ﴿because of what they disbelieved﴾, meaning they caused the covering of the proofs ﴿and took My signs﴾ which are with their illumination the most serious of seriousness and the farthest thing from mockery ﴿and My messengers﴾ who are supported by the striking of My actions along with what they have of nobility and virtue ﴿as mockery﴾. So they did not suffice with the disbelief which is a slander against divinity until they added to it the mockery which is the greatest contempt.
