Commentary
And when there is no refuge from Him - glorified and exalted is He - except to Him; He said (the Most High): "Except"; meaning: but you will find "mercy"; initiated; and existing; "from your Lord"; meaning: the One who has done good to you by creating you; and raising you; and His goodness has never ceased from you; He returns it to you; and brings you what takes its place; and He expressed the tool of severance with the tool of connection; indicating that His mercy - glorified and exalted is He - for him - which is necessitated by the attribute of His goodness to him; due to its greatness - is like a guardian who acts with delight in every situation.
And when it was in His sending down to him; then keeping it with him; of the blessings upon him; and upon his nation; that which cannot be counted; He alerted to that by His saying (the Most High) - beginning anew; affirming that the existence of mercy is among the strangest of the strange; for it is such that it is hardly believed; and it is something that is enjoyed in its mention -: "Indeed, His favor was"; meaning: a stable existence; "upon you"; meaning: specifically; "great"; meaning: of great magnitude; and it has been reported that the Qur'an will be taken away in the end of times; being carried away with what is in the manuscripts; and with what is in the hearts; and this verse has conveyed that; for the words of kings convey the essence of the matter; even if it is in the context of a condition.
