Commentary
So it is as if it was said: What did Musa - blessings and peace be upon him - say? It was said: He said to Fir'aun: 'Indeed, I know'; that is, I; with the 'ta' included; according to the reading of Al-Kisai; to indicate that he has certain knowledge that what he has brought is revealed from his Lord; for he is the most intelligent of the people of that time; and it is not according to what Fir'aun claimed; or with the 'ta' opened; according to the reading of the others; that is, you, O Fir'aun, have become among those who know that what I have shown is among the proofs that it is not revealed except by the Lord of the heavens and the earth; that is, their Creator; and their Planner; while these verses are 'insights'; that is, clear signs; their matter is established; their rank is high; by which my truth is seen; and as for magic, it is clear to everyone that it is an illusion; it has no reality; and indeed, if you, O Fir'aun, think of me as bewitched; I certainly think of you; he confirmed what was with Fir'aun, who denies his words; and shows certainty of Fir'aun's happiness; O Fir'aun, you are doomed; that is, cursed; expelled; defeated; destroyed; deprived of good; corrupt in mind; and my assumption is close to being correct; contrary to your assumption; due to your obstinacy against the Lord of the worlds; for the clarity of your denial of the insights that have been revealed; and by them; the veil has been lifted; for they are clearer than the sun; and this is due to your being fixed in the state you are in; and your laziness about moving from it to what is more noble than it; and I have clarified the meaning of 'Thabara' in 'There is no blame' in the Surah of Yusuf - blessings and peace be upon him -; so if you refer to it, it will become clear to you what I have pointed to.
