Then he clarified his superiority and abundance by saying (the Most High) - as a means of reasoning -: ﴿What is with you﴾; meaning: of the worldly pleasures; and it is that which you engage in with your natures; ﴿will perish﴾; meaning: will come to an end; so its companion experiences a troubled life; as much as he can be in it; rejoicing at its cessation; or by permitting its cessation; if he is among those who know; ﴿And what is with Allah﴾; meaning: that which (p-248) has all authority; of reward; ﴿will remain﴾; so He will certainly give you from it if you remain steadfast in your covenant; then He hinted at the difficulty in that; in addition to this measure; and He said (the Most High) - confirming for the sake of refuting the deniers -: ﴿And We will surely reward﴾; meaning:
