It was said: "Those who disbelieved"; meaning: they brought forth disbelief within themselves; "and they prevented"; in addition to that; others; "from the path of Allah"; meaning: which encompasses everything; "We increased them"; meaning: with what we have of greatness; by their preventing others; "a punishment above the punishment"; which they deserved for the absolute polytheism; "because they were"; meaning: in a natural state; "causing corruption"; meaning: they bring about corruption and renew it;
