Commentary
And when this action, along with this knowledge, is a cause for entering Hell, without any weight being established for them, because there is no weight for what has lost its foundation, he said - commenting and causing -: ﴿So enter﴾; meaning: O disbelievers; ﴿the gates of Hell﴾; meaning: the gates of its levels and degrees; ﴿abiding eternally﴾; meaning: destined for eternity ﴿in it﴾; meaning: in Hell; which has the nature of frowning upon those who enter it.
And when this position is for dissent, and its matter is exceedingly repulsive, this entrance is the ugliest of entrances; and it is a cause for it to be said: ﴿So evil﴾; with the comprehensive tool for the essence of blame ﴿is the abode of the arrogant﴾; in a manner of emphasis; and clarifying the description for which they deserve that; due to their prior lying in their saying: "We were not (p-146) doing any evil"; implying that they are deserving - to the utmost extent of their dullness - to find the fire pleasing; just as they denied, despite the complete knowledge that no lie will be accepted on that day.
