And when his proclamation - blessings and peace be upon him and his family - was to a degree of great hardship; and if he were relieved from the mockers; due to the multitude of those who remained among those who share their opinion; he said - to console himself and to be generous with himself in it -: "And certainly We know"; meaning: the occurrence of Our knowledge is confirmed; regarding what We have of greatness; "that you"; meaning: regarding what you have of forbearance and vastness of heart; "your chest is constricted"; meaning: its constriction exists; and it renews; "by what they say"; at your proclamation to them of what you are commanded; regarding you; from their saying: "O you to whom the Reminder has been revealed"; to the end of it; and regarding the one who sent you; from polytheism; and the companion; and the child; and other than that;
