Commentary
And when he mentioned the attribute of knowledge in the form of exaggeration, he followed it with what He has given him in this abode from the substance of knowledge, in the form of greatness. He said - in addition to what I have determined, from what the context indicates -: "And We have certainly given you"; which indicates our knowledge; "seven of the repeated"; and it is Al-Fatiha, which encompasses - despite its brevity - all meanings of the Qur'an. It is repeated in its revelation; for it was revealed twice; and it is repeated in every unit of prayer. It is a praise of Allah and of the righteous among His servants. It is divided between Allah and His servant; and its purposes are reiterated in it. Every meaning of its meanings is presented in it in various ways that clarify the indication of it, in the forms of words and the jewels of structures that guide to it, and other forms of repetition. "And the great Qur'an"; meaning: the one that contains all the sciences of the former and the latter, from all the previous books and others.
