Commentary
Then he explained this matter by saying: "Indeed, your Lord"; meaning: the one who is good to you; the one who commands you with this; "He is"; meaning: alone; "the Creator"; the one who repeatedly performs this action at all times; merely by command; so there is no wonder in the creation of what is attributed to Him from the creativity of the Hour; or otherwise; and for this reason, He is knowledgeable of your conditions altogether; and what may be good for you; to the utmost of wisdom; because the one who shapes is more knowledgeable of the form than the one who sees it; and the maker of a thing is more aware of it than its buyer; and the builder of a house knows it better than its inhabitant; and He is the one who created all that you see of them; so it is His action; so submit to Him.
And since the perfection of creations cannot be achieved except through knowledge; He, exalted is He, said: "The All-Knowing"; meaning: the one who has complete knowledge of all information; so you do not see their actions and words except from Him - glorified is He - because He is their Creator; and you have known that not even the weight of an atom is lost; so rely on Him in obtaining your rights; for He is the best protector; and the best supporter; and nothing is hidden from Him; and what I have said is indicated by the verse of "Ya-Sin": "Is not He who created the heavens and the earth able to create the like of them? Yes, and He is the Creator, the All-Knowing" [Ya-Sin: 81]; or it could be said: then what has their earnings availed them of what We intended of the truth; because We did not create their punishment except with the truth; just as We created them with the truth; so nothing has been prevented from Us of that; "And We did not create the heavens and the earth and what is between them except with the truth" [Al-Hijr: 85]; meaning: for the sake of establishing the truth; and manifesting Our command in justice; and if it were not that We had appointed some people over others, this attribute of Us would not have appeared to them in the utmost clarity; so We hasten - from the truth; which We created that because of - the occurrence of the Hour - what We wish of trials; and vengeance; just as We did with those whose stories We narrated; and We delay from that what remains until the Day of Resurrection; "And indeed, the Hour is coming" [Al-Hijr: 85]; there is no doubt in it; so we do not leave there anything of rights except that we establish it; "So overlook with gracious forgiveness" [Al-Hijr: 85]; so it is necessary to obtain your right; either in this world; or in the Hereafter; "Indeed"; meaning: because "your Lord is the Creator"; meaning: the one who acts in creation repeatedly; His power does not diminish; nor is His word weakened; "The All-Knowing"; the one with complete knowledge; so He is capable of that; knowledgeable of the aspect of wisdom in it; at its time; and in its manner; so He will restore the creatures on the Hour as He began them; and at that time He will fulfill all rights; and will give you on that day what will please your eyes.
