And when companionship is not complete except with the kind; along with the perfection of affection; and the purity of hearts from any impurity; He said: ﴿And We removed﴾; meaning: by virtue of our greatness; ﴿what is in their breasts of ill will﴾; meaning: malice that penetrates; meaning: it becomes embedded in the heart while they are ﴿brothers﴾; meaning: reconciled; while they are ﴿upon thrones﴾; the plural of 'sarir'; and it is an elevated seat prepared for joy; ﴿facing one another﴾; none of them sees the back of another; in the last sayings; from Al-Thaqafi; from Al-Junaid - may Allah have mercy on him - that he said: 'How sweet is the gathering with friends! And how bitter is the gathering with adversaries!'
