So it is as if it was said: What was the response? It was said: "He said, 'Get out';" meaning: your arrogance has caused me to say to you: 'Get out' from it; meaning: from the abode of holiness. It was said: from the sky; and it was said: from Paradise. "For you are accursed"; meaning: expelled. This is because it can only be for one who is far away, and it is desired to increase his distance; rather, to destroy him. The reason for the expulsion is that it is a place where no arrogant sinner can remain by disobeying My command; for I have the decisive judgment and the complete greatness that necessitates the obligation of obedience. It is not appropriate for one whom I commanded with what has passed to be absent from My command; let alone to set forth examples for Me and to confront Me with argumentation, criticizing what is with Me of majesty and beauty.
