Commentary
'So when I have fashioned him'; that is: I have made him upright; and I have completed him; and I have prepared him for the blowing of the spirit in a manner close to action; 'and I breathed into him of My spirit'; that is: I created life in him; as fire relates to the wick by the blowing; and this is a metaphor; and He added the spirit to him as an honor; and it is that by which the body becomes alive; and more honorable than that is that by which the spirit becomes knowledgeable; and more honorable than that is that by which the knowledgeable one becomes a working humble person; 'so fall down to him'; that is: as an act of glorification; while you are; 'prostrating'; that is: prostrate to him in the prostration of one who is eager in his submission to him; and the ease of his yielding; as if he fell without his choice;
