Commentary
'And We have made for you'; that is: a favor from Us upon you; 'in it are livelihoods'; and it is a clear statement; without extension; the plural of 'ma'isha'; and it is what one obtains for living from food; and clothing; and minerals; and others; 'and from whom you are not'; that is: O you strong leaders; 'to Him as providers'; like you in that; We have made for Him in it livelihoods; from dependents; and servants; and other animals which you benefit from; and if you think that you provide for them; then that is false because you cannot provide for yourselves; so how about others?! So when the completeness of His power appeared like the sun; and that He is One with no partner for Him; it became clear that as these things were with Him by account; which He determined with a wisdom He arranged - other than them is likewise; so that is what prevents Him from hastening them with what they mock with of punishment; so He said:
