﴿They do not believe in it﴾; for something of the things; because their chests do not open to it; as you have seen Our Sunnah in your people; ﴿And certainly passed﴾; meaning: it has gone before this; ﴿the Sunnah﴾; meaning: the way; ﴿of the former ones﴾ (p-28) by that; and We are capable of doing what We want from that Sunnah with this nation; of destruction; and facilitating faith; and other than that; so He is looking at His saying: ﴿And a clear Qur'an﴾ [Al-Hijr: 1]; and the aim is to clarify that He (glorified and exalted is He) blinds some of the eyes from the apparent; and gives sight to some of them to the hidden; manifesting the power and choice; by executing the command contrary to the norm.
