And when the praise was completed for the blessing after the supplication to be free from what contradicts happiness and concluding it with praise for the response to the supplication, he seized the opportunity to follow the supplication by adorning himself with the adornment of worship, which he informed that it is his intention by placing it from his offspring and then establishing it. This indicates the difficulty of it upon the soul except by the help of Allah. He said: "My Lord," meaning, O You who brings me into existence, the Owner of my affair, "make me one who establishes prayer," meaning, this type that indicates the utmost submission, constantly establishing it. And it is as if Allah, glorified and exalted is He, informed him that there would be among his offspring one who would disbelieve, so he said out of politeness: "And [make some] of my descendants."
And when the greatest of the pillars after faith, he singled out [the pronoun] for the supplication with it, seeking closeness to Allah, glorified and exalted is He, with what He has upon him of the blessings that He did not bestow upon anyone else during that time, as he indicated by the name of the Lord. [Then he increased] in supplication by saying: "Our Lord," meaning, O You who is gracious to us. And he gathered the pronoun added to it with regard to those who follow him from his descendants because what follows is another speech, meaning, O Lord, and the Lord of (p-432) whom You have guided by Your nurturing and kindness to establish prayer from my descendants. "And accept my supplication," all of it and otherwise, by making it accepted, as if he were one who desires it, captivated by it.
