قُل لِّعِبَادِيَ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ يُقِيمُواْ ٱلصَّلَوٰةَ وَيُنفِقُواْ مِمَّا رَزَقۡنَٰهُمۡ سِرّٗا وَعَلَانِيَةٗ مِّن قَبۡلِ أَن يَأۡتِيَ يَوۡمٞ لَّا بَيۡعٞ فِيهِ وَلَا خِلَٰلٌ ٣١ ﴿31
31Say to My believing servants that they should establish Salāh and spend, secretly and openly, out of what We have given to them before there comes a day in which there is neither a trade nor friendship.

And when he mentioned their disbelief and their deviation from the path, and what he was commanded, blessings and peace be upon him and his family, to say to them, that was a motivator for the listener's soul to reflect on what is said to one who has abandoned the idols. The most secure bond of the path after faith, and the most comprehensive of it, is the prayer that prohibits immorality and wrongdoing, and the comprehensive spending for the various acts of righteousness. He, exalted is He, commanded him to urge His allies to turn towards what His enemies have turned away from, and to turn away from what they have engaged in enjoying. So he said, "Say to My servants" and he described them with the noblest of their attributes, and he associated them with His noble self to endear them to it. Then he followed this description with what is appropriate for their submission to their master, saying: "those who have believed," meaning they have embodied this description.
