And when he mentioned the Hereafter at the beginning of the Surah, he mentioned what is established with no dispute in it. Then he drew the speech to it here in this strange manner, and followed it with examples of the deeds of the disbelievers in the Hereafter. He followed that with evidence for it and that it does not justify in wisdom the deeds of misguidance except for their invalidation. He said: "Did you not see that Allah," meaning the One who encompasses everything with knowledge and power, "created the heavens" in their greatness and height, "and the earth" in its vastness and expanse, "with truth," with the established matter of placing everything from it in its proper place as wisdom calls for, not with imagination and deception like magic. It is known that they are both contexts, and the context that is intended by itself can only be like its context or higher than it. So how can he think that he creates something in them in vain, so that it is false and He does not invalidate it, or true and He does not affirm it? Or how can he imagine that he - with the power to bring them forth from non-existence, while they are greater in creation and more significant in status - cannot bring back what is in them, while they are weaker in matter and lesser in value? Or did He create them because of the truth, which is the resurrection of the people, a resurrection by which they will be established and remain in existence with no end after it? This leads to the fact that He is the One of great power. So He is such that "if He wills, He can remove you," meaning by a type of removal: death or otherwise, "and bring forth a new creation," other than you, or bring you back after you have perished, so that you return - just as you are - a new creation. And the new is that which is cut off from action in the beginning, and its origin is cutting off. The grandfather is the father’s father; he is cut off from birth by the father. And the grandfather is the opposite of playfulness; it cuts off the distance either physically or meaningfully.
