Commentary
And He clarified it by His saying: "Gardens of Eternity" meaning a long stay - and from it is the source [and they are the highest of the gardens]; then He began to explain their establishment in it by saying: "They will enter it."
And since the abode does not become pleasant without the beloved, He said, adding to the raised pronoun, indicating that empty lineage is of no benefit: "And whoever is righteous" and righteousness is the uprightness of the state upon what the mind and the law call to: "from their fathers" meaning those who were a cause for their existence: "and their wives and their offspring" meaning those who were caused by them; then He increased in encouragement by saying, glorified and exalted is He: "and the angels will enter upon them" because the frequent visits of the messengers of the King are greater in pride and more in joy and honor.
And since their coming from the accustomed places with the ability to come from elsewhere is a greater indication of respect and honor, He said: "from every gate" they will say to them:
