So they answered him to what he wanted. So they directed themselves to Egypt for that and for the purpose of provisions when drought had intensified upon them. They aimed for the Aziz; and his saying: ﴿So when they entered upon him﴾ with the letter 'fa' indicates that they hastened the return this time. They said, calling out with the tool that indicates that what follows has great significance: ﴿O Aziz﴾. And when they showed kindness by honoring him, they softened their words by saying: ﴿We have been touched﴾ meaning, O group that you see, ﴿and our family﴾ meaning those whom we left in our land, ﴿with harm﴾ meaning we have experienced a hardship that we feel. ﴿And we have come with a worthless merchandise﴾ meaning trivial, not desired in any way. Then they caused this acknowledgment - because it is closer to the mercy of the generous - by their saying: ﴿So give us full measure﴾ meaning out of compassion for us due to our weakness, ﴿and give charity﴾ meaning preference, ﴿upon us﴾ is an increase over the fulfillment as you have accustomed us with favor, hoping for its reward. And when they saw his actions indicating his adherence to the religion of Allah, they justified that by saying: ﴿Indeed, Allah﴾ meaning He who has all perfection, ﴿rewards the charitable﴾ meaning absolutely, even if you have shown - with what has indicated the showing - and even if it is to a rich, strong person. So how about if it is to those in need and weakness?
