(p-243) The purpose of Surah Al-Humazah is to clarify the greatest party that is the loser, which is overwhelmed by the competition for more. Its loss becomes evident on the Day of the Calamity, the lowering and raising. Its name, Al-Humazah, clearly indicates this. 'In the name of Allah,' who has the fullness of might and is the just ruler. 'The Most Gracious,' who has encompassed His grace to the people of stinginess and those who are generous. 'The Most Merciful,' who has completed His grace upon whom He wills of His servants, and has favored them with excellence.
