And when the day is described, it is only for what occurs in it. The reason for that is His detailed saying to them: ﴿So as for he whose scales are heavy﴾, meaning with weight. And since the weights are of many types indeed, He gathered the scale considering them and said: ﴿His scales﴾, meaning the measures of the types of his good deeds by following [the truth], for it is heavy in this world and avoiding falsehood. And the weighed are the deeds themselves, both in their embodiment and their records.
