Commentary
And when the enemies are in the state of attack, they are different at times to the right, and at times to the left, and at times in front, and at times behind, according to the charge and retreat in the confrontation and attempt. At times, it is influenced by the fleeing one, and at other times in the confrontation of the advancing warrior. This results in much dust being raised to stir the air, and the collision of some with others to oppose him with the force of the push from their legs and what they move from it. And the one who is sworn by is looked at in terms of his essence, and the result of the oath is looked at in terms of the action from the very beginning, regardless of the essence. It is connected to the name of the doer after its resolution until it reaches it. He said: (p-213) 'So we stirred up with it' [meaning] with the act of the attack and its place and time due to the intensity of the enemy, 'dust' meaning dust along with the necks and the shouting and the reprimanding by the neck until that dust became thick and gathered upon it.
