And when He negated fear and sadness from them, He increased them by saying [clarifying His support for them after explaining their support for Him]: ﴿For them﴾ that is: specifically ﴿is the good news﴾ that is complete ﴿in this worldly life﴾ that is: that their religion will prevail, their condition will be known, their enemy will be forsaken, and their deeds will not be accepted [and with the righteous vision] ﴿and in the Hereafter﴾ that they are the happy ones and their enemies are the wretched ones, and the angels will greet them ﴿This is your Day which you were promised﴾ [Al-Anbiya: 103]. And since the prevailing condition of the people of Allah in this world is hardship, especially in the early days of Islam, the listener to this might say: I wish I knew if this joy will be completed! It was said: Yes, and it was confirmed by negating the type because the tyrants deny that [for them] due to what they see of their honor being behind a humiliation in which there is no evil, as for the falsehood of the arrogant, it is filled with anger, fear, and assault: ﴿There is no changing﴾ that is: in any way of the words of Allah ﴾the Most High King who has complete knowledge and power over all things; and His saying: ﴿That﴾ that is: the high matter ﴿is﴾ that is: specifically ﴿the great success﴾ in the context of clarifying and revealing the content of this good news; and fear: is the disturbance of the heart due to what is expected of the disliked. Its counterpart is anxiety and fright, and its opposite is security; and sadness: is its disturbance and the heaviness of its concern due to what has occurred of the disliked, from the sadness for the harsh land, and its opposite is joy, and they alternate in the state of the living one who remembers the beloved; and the good news: is the first news of what will appear as joy on the countenance.
