Tafsir for verse: 10:3
3Surely, your Lord is Allah, the One who created the heavens and the earth in six days, and then He positioned Himself on the Throne. He governs all affairs (of His creation). There is no one who could intercede before Him, except after His permission. That is Allah, your Lord. So, worship Him. Would you still pay no heed?

Commentary

So He, glorified and exalted is He, began to establish the proof against the invalidity of their saying that it is - along with what it contains of resurrection - magic. And on the truth that it is from Him without any doubt. And on the fact that the message has no wonder in it. For He, glorified and exalted is He, created all existence and He is the One whose command is executed within it. And He has tested those among it who are rational to bring them back to Him and hold them accountable; for He did not create them in vain, for He is Wise. Therefore, there must be a Messenger who informs them of what pleases Him and what angers Him so that the proof may be established by that. He said: "Indeed, your Lord is" meaning the One who created for you, and the One who nurtures and bestows kindness upon you, "Allah" meaning the One who nurtured something must be Wise and capable of the means of its rectification. So awaken yourselves from the slumber of your negligence to know that this Book is from [the One] to whom all greatness belongs, certainly. And that He is capable of resurrecting you because He is your Lord, "the One who" began creation by "creating" meaning He determined and brought into existence "the heavens and the earth" in their vastness and the abundance of what is in them of benefits "in six days" for a wisdom He intended, noting that this is a short time. He would not do something like that in a similar time except by One who is not incapacitated by anything.

And when He, glorified and exalted is He, brought into existence this vast creation, widely spread and distant in its regions, which is in need of great management and subtle arrangement and determination, He expressed His action in it as the actions of kings in their kingdoms by saying, indicating His greatness with the tool of delay: "Then He rose" meaning He acted in managing it and perfecting what is in it and making it precise, the action of one who is concerned with that "upon the Throne" whose description is preceded by greatness. And the word "then" is not for arrangement but is a metaphor for the elevation of rank and the distance of its attainment. Then He clarified this rising by saying: "He manages" because management is the most just of the states of a king, so the rising is a metaphor for it. "The command" all of it; nothing escapes His knowledge of the outcome of any matter among matters. Thus, security is achieved by this from anything being done without His knowledge, for management is the placing of matters in their ranks with the precision of their outcomes. And with that, He is exalted above what you know of the states of kings; that there are among them those who decide some matters without permission from them, even if they know of it due to their incapacity to persist in repelling it. Rather, He is characterized by the fact that "there is no intercessor" meaning even if He is highly characterized by that.

And when the completion of His subjugation and the greatness of His authority does not benefit anyone without His permission, a general permission for all times and places, He brought forth the verse: ﴿Except by His permission﴾. So if no intercessor can speak in intercession except by His permission, how can anyone bring forth anything without His permission? How can one bring forth a wise book that is not from Him, while creation is incapable of opposing it? Thus, it is established that it cannot be from anyone other than Him and that He commanded its conveyance. It has been known from this that ﴿There is no intercessor﴾ indicates that nothing in the affairs can escape His management, nor can anything overpower Him at all. Therefore, what they used to say about the idols regarding intercession and others has been invalidated. The intercessor is the one who asks on behalf of another by conveying his status of pardon or an increase in rank. The mention of the book, the messenger, and the throne has been arranged at the beginning of this as it was arranged at the end of that. So when it has been established what has been described regarding the greatness that no one shares with Him, it is necessary that He be worshipped with a worship that nothing shares with Him in it. He alerted to this by saying: ﴿That is﴾, meaning the one of great status and high ranks, ﴿Allah﴾, meaning the Most High King, ﴿Your Lord﴾, who has established for Him from greatness and kindness in creation and nurturing what no description can reach. ﴿So worship Him﴾, meaning dedicate your worship to Him; for your worship along with associating partners is not worship. If it were not for His grace, there would be no obedience for anyone who has stumbled even slightly.

And when He, glorified and exalted is He, caused what was necessary for Him from the command of worship due to His high attributes, that led to the denial against them in refraining from it and the need for the emergence of the command for it. He established His right to it for individuals with the evidence that has its witnesses among them, saying: ﴿Do you not remember?﴾, meaning even with the least types of remembrance regarding what He, glorified and exalted is He, has informed you of and alerted you to with what everyone knows of themselves, that no one can do everything they want and do much of what has no purpose for them, and they know that it harms them, in addition to other matters. So they should know for certain that the true doer is other than them, and that there must be an influencer for this existence who is of the utmost greatness, and it is not correct in any way that anything shares with Him, even if it were the greatest of what is known among things. So how about an inanimate object that neither harms nor benefits!
