No! It is a deterrent against reproach for it, and against repeating something like it. It is a reminder, meaning a sermon that must be heeded and acted upon. So whoever wills, let him remember it, meaning he is preserving it without forgetting. The pronoun is mentioned because the reminder is in the meaning of remembrance and admonition. In scrolls is an attribute of the reminder, meaning: it is recorded in scrolls copied from the Tablet, honored with Allah, raised in the heavens. Or raised in status, purified and exalted from the hands of the devils; none touches it except the hands of purified angels, noble scribes who copy the books from the Tablet, righteous and pious. It is said: they are the scrolls of the prophets, as His saying: 'Indeed, this is in the earlier scrolls.' It is said that the noble ones are the reciters. It is said: the companions of the Messenger of Allah, blessings and peace be upon him.
