Commentary

A criterion for victory, because it distinguishes between truth and falsehood, and between disbelief by humiliating its party, and Islam by honoring its people. Among it is His saying, 'On the Day of the Criterion,' or as a clarification and manifestation that makes your matter known and spreads your reputation and your effects in the corners of the earth, from their saying 'I have resolved to do such and such' until the criterion shines: meaning the dawn has risen. Or an exit from doubts, and guidance and relief for the hearts. Or a distinction between you and others from the people of religions, and a favor and distinction in this world and the Hereafter.
