Commentary
With justice, meaning what is established in the souls that it is straight and good in the sight of every discerning person. It was said: with monotheism. And establish your faces, and say: establish your faces, meaning direct yourselves to His worship, remaining straight towards it and not turning away to anything else, at every mosque, at every time of prostration, or in every place of prostration, which is prayer. And invoke Him and worship Him, being sincere to Him in religion, meaning obedience, seeking thereby the face of Allah, purely. As He began you, you will return. Just as He created you at the beginning, He will bring you back. He argued against them in their denial of resurrection by the beginning of creation, and the meaning is: He will bring you back and reward you for your deeds, so be sincere in worship to Him.
