And remember your Lord within yourself. It is general in the remembrances of reciting the Qur'an, supplication, glorification, and declaration of His Oneness, and other than that, in humility and fear, in a humble and fearful manner, and without loudness, speaking words without raising one's voice. This is because concealment is more conducive to sincerity and closer to good contemplation. In the morning and the evenings, for the virtue of these two times. Or he meant continuity. And the meaning of 'in the morning' is at the times of morning, which are the dawns. And it has been recited: 'and the evenings,' from 'aṣl' if one enters into the evening, like 'aqṣar' and 'aʿtam.' 'Aqṣar' means to enter into the shortening, that is, the evening time, and 'aʿtam' means to enter into the darkness, that is, the time of night prayer. This is in accordance with the morning. And do not be among the heedless, those who are neglectful of the remembrance of Allah and are distracted from it.
