And from the people of Musa is a community who are the believers, the repentant from Bani Israel. When it mentioned those who trembled among them in religion and doubted until they approached the two great sins, the worship of the calf and the seeking of the vision of Allah, it mentioned that among them is a community of the certain ones, steadfast, guiding the people with the word of truth, leading them to righteousness and directing them. And with truth, they judge among them fairly, not being unjust. Or he meant those who were described among those who met the Prophet, blessings and peace be upon him, and believed in him from their descendants. It was said that when Bani Israel killed their prophets and disbelieved, and they were twelve tribes, one tribe disassociated itself from what they had done and apologized. They asked Allah to separate them from their brothers, so Allah opened for them a passage in the earth, and they traveled through it for a year and a half until they emerged beyond China, and there they were Hanifs, Muslims, facing our Qibla. It is mentioned that the Prophet, blessings and peace be upon him, that Jibril took him on the Night of Isra towards them, and he spoke to them. Jibril said to them: Do you know whom you are speaking to? They said: No. He said: This is Muhammad, the unlettered prophet. So they believed in him and said: O Messenger of Allah, indeed Musa instructed us that whoever among you reaches Ahmad, let him convey my peace to him. So Muhammad responded to Musa, peace be upon them both, with peace, then he recited to them ten Surahs from the Qur'an that were revealed in Makkah, and no obligation had been revealed except for prayer and zakat. He commanded them to remain in their place, and they were observing the Sabbath, so he commanded them to gather and leave the Sabbath. And from Masruq, it was recited: 'before Abdullah' and a man said: I am one of them. Abdullah said, meaning to those who were in his gathering of believers: And do your righteous ones add anything to those who guide with truth and judge with it? It was said: If they were in a corner of the world, adhering to the Shariah and the abrogation had not reached them, they would be excused. And this is a matter of obligation and estimation, otherwise the news of the Shariah of Muhammad, blessings and peace be upon him, has spread to every horizon, and penetrated every passage, and Allah has not left a people of mud or wool, nor plain nor mountain, nor land nor sea in the east and west of the earth, except that He has conveyed it to them and filled their ears with it and made them responsible for it, and He will question them about it on the Day of Resurrection.
