So when good comes to them from prosperity and ease, they say, 'This is ours, this is exclusively for us, and we are deserving of it. We have always been in blessings and comfort.' And the 'lam' is like that in your saying, 'the saddle for the horse.' And if an evil befalls them from hardship and drought, they take omens from Musa and those with him. They take omens from them and feel pessimistic, saying, 'This is due to their evil, and if it were not for them, we would not have been afflicted.' Just as the disbelievers said to the Messenger of Allah, blessings and peace be upon him, 'This is from you.' If you say: 'How?'
