It is an oath by all things in their comprehensiveness and inclusiveness. They do not fall outside of two categories: perceivable and non-perceivable. It was said: the worldly and the hereafter, bodies and souls, humans and jinn, the creation and the Creator, the apparent and hidden blessings. Indeed, this Qur'an is the saying of a noble Messenger, meaning he says it and speaks it as a message from Allah. And it is not the saying of a poet or a soothsayer, as you claim, and the fewness in meaning is like non-existence. That is: you do not believe nor remember at all. The meaning is: how ungrateful and heedless you are. It is a revelation; it is a revelation, clarifying that it is the saying of a Messenger who was sent down upon him from the Lord of the worlds. Abu al-Samal read: 'a revelation,' meaning it was sent down as a revelation. It was said that 'the noble Messenger' refers to Gabriel, peace be upon him. And his saying, 'And it is not the saying of a poet,' is evidence that it is Muhammad, blessings and peace be upon him, because the meaning confirms that he is a Messenger, neither a poet nor a soothsayer.
