Commentary
He greatly esteemed his character due to his immense patience with the painful things from his people, and his good opposition to them and his ability to manage them. It is said that it is the character that Allah, glorified and exalted is He, commanded him to have in His saying: 'Take what is given freely, and enjoin what is good, and turn away from the ignorant.'
