And it is recited 'Whoever is led astray' with the 'ya' pronounced, meaning Allah leads him astray. So eat, which is a consequence of denying the following of the misled, those who make lawful what is forbidden and forbid what is lawful. This is because they used to say to the Muslims: 'You claim that you worship Allah, so what Allah has killed is more rightful for you to eat than what you have killed.' It was said to the Muslims: 'If you are certain in your faith, then eat from what the name of Allah has been mentioned upon, specifically, and not from what the name of others has been mentioned upon, or what has died of itself. What the name of Allah has been mentioned upon is the one that has been slaughtered in the name of Allah. And why should you not eat? What purpose do you have in not eating when He has detailed for you and made clear what He has forbidden upon you from what is not forbidden?' And His saying is: 'Forbidden to you is carrion.' It is recited: 'He has detailed for you what He has forbidden upon you' with the active participle, and it is Allah, the Exalted and Majestic. 'Except that which you are forced to' from what He has forbidden is lawful for you in cases of necessity. And indeed, many will lead astray, it is recited with the 'ya' opened and pronounced, meaning they lead astray, so they make unlawful and lawful according to their whims and desires without adhering to the Sharia.
