Certainly, clear proofs have come to you from your Lord. It is conveyed on the tongue of the Messenger of Allah, blessings and peace be upon him, due to his saying, 'And I am not a guardian over you.' The insight is the light of the heart by which one perceives, just as sight is the light of the eye by which one sees. That is to say, revelation has come to you, and it serves as a reminder of what is permissible regarding Allah and what is not. It is for the hearts like insights. So whoever perceives the truth and believes, for himself he has perceived, and it benefits him. And whoever is blind to it, upon himself is blindness, and it harms him with blindness. And I am not a guardian over you to preserve your deeds and reward you for them; I am but a warner, and Allah is the Preserver over you.
