Allah intends to bring you out by His signs from the darkness of disbelief to the light of faith. Or the Messenger intends to bring you out by his call. He is truly compassionate. It has also been read as 'laru'uf'. The saying 'laru'uf' indicates that the reading with shortening is more famous, but there is a consideration in this. In the authentic texts, it is mentioned: 'ra'uf bih' - with a dammah, and 'ra'fa bih' - with a fatha, and 'ra'if bih' - with a kasrah, so he is 'ra'uf' in the form of fa'ul. Ka'b ibn Malik al-Ansari said: 'We obey our Prophet and we obey our Lord... He is the Most Merciful, and He was compassionate towards us.' And 'ra'uf' can also be in the form of fa'il. Jarir said: 'He sees for the Muslims a right upon him... like the action of a compassionate and merciful father.' It appears that its written form with one waw is valid for both elongation and shortening, and the reading with elongation is the more famous, as it is more common in linguistic usage.
