The meaning is: virtuous in character, beautiful in creation, confined to their chambers. It is said: a woman is confined, and a confined one, and a confined one is veiled. It is said that the tent from their tents is a hollow pearl before them, before the companions of the two gardens. The mention of the two gardens indicates them, reclining, positioned for distinction. The "ruffles" are a type of spread. It is said that they are spreads, and it is said that they are cushions, and it is said that every wide garment is a ruffle. The edges of the spread and the excess of the tent are called ruffles. The clouds ruffle: they are fringed. The "genius" is attributed to Abqar, which the Arabs claim is the land of the jinn, so they attribute to it everything strange. It was read: "ruffles" in green with two dammas. And "geniuses," like "Mada'i," is attributed to geniuses in the name of the land. Abu Hatim narrated: "geniuses," with a fatha on the qaf and prevented from inflection, and there is no basis for its correctness. If you say: how did the descriptions of these two gardens fall short of the first two, so it was said: "and below them?" I say: they are dark green, below those with branches. And they are flowing, below: they flow. And fruits below: every fruit. Likewise, the description of the houris and the reclining place. It was read: "the Lord of Glory" as a description, for the name. From the Messenger of Allah, blessings and peace be upon him: "Whoever recites Surah Ar-Rahman has fulfilled the gratitude for what Allah has bestowed upon him."
