Commentary
And from everything, meaning from every living thing, We created two pairs, male and female. Al-Hasan said: the sky and the earth, the night and the day, the sun and the moon, the land and the sea, and death and life. He enumerated things and said: every two of them is a pair. And Allah, the Exalted and Glorified, is One, with no likeness to Him. So that you may remember, meaning We did all of this, from the construction of the sky, the spreading of the earth, and the creation of pairs, intending that you remember, so that you may know the Creator and worship Him.
