Commentary
A blessed water with many benefits and the grain of the harvest, and the seeds of the crops which are meant to be harvested. It is what is eaten, such as wheat and barley, and tall trees in the sky. In the recitation of the Messenger of Allah, blessings and peace be upon him, it is read as 'basiqat' by replacing the 's' with a 's' for the sake of the 'qaf'. A layered arrangement, some of it above others: either it is meant to refer to the abundance of the blossoms and their accumulation, or the abundance of the fruits within it. Provision, as We have made it grow as provision, because growth is in the meaning of provision. Or it is as a purpose, meaning: We made it grow to provide for them. Likewise, the emergence, as this dead town was brought to life, so you will emerge alive after your death. The 'kaf' is in the nominative case as the subject.
