Commentary
Jesus, blessings and peace be upon him, did not differentiate between himself and them in that he is a servant who is nurtured like them. This is an argument against the Christians. Indeed, whoever associates partners with Allah in His worship, or in that which is specific to Him from His attributes or actions, Allah has forbidden him the Paradise which is the abode of the monotheists; that is, He has forbidden him from entering it and has prevented him from it, just as the forbidden is prevented from what is forbidden to him. And there are no supporters for the wrongdoers from the words of Allah, as they have wronged themselves. It is possible that the phrase 'as they have wronged themselves' means that they have deviated from the path of truth in what they say about Jesus, blessings and peace be upon him. Therefore, He did not support them in it nor affirm their words; He rejected and denied it, even though they hold him in high esteem and elevate his status. Or from the saying of Jesus, blessings and peace be upon him, meaning: No one will support you in what you say, nor assist you in it due to its impossibility and distance from reason. Or, there will be no supporter for you in the Hereafter from the punishment of Allah.
