The implication of saying 'from Pharaoh' is that it refers to the punishment of Pharaoh, so that the humiliating one is Pharaoh. In the reading of Ibn Abbas: 'from Pharaoh,' when he described the punishment of Pharaoh as severe and horrific, he said: 'from Pharaoh,' meaning: do you know who he is in his tyranny and wickedness? Then he clarified his condition in that by saying: 'Indeed, he was high among the excessive.' That is, he was great and of a high rank, and among them he was superior, and he was extreme in his excess.

Or 'high' in arrogance, as His saying, 'Indeed, Pharaoh was high in the land.' And 'among the excessive' is a second news, as if it were said: indeed, he was arrogant and excessive.
