Did you see? Inform me if the Qur'an is from Allah. This means that what you are upon in denying and disbelieving in the Qur'an is not something that comes from a decisive proof from which you have gained certainty and ease of heart. Rather, it is, before reflection and following the evidence, a matter that is possible. It may be from Allah or it may not be from Him. And you have not reflected or examined. So what you have denied to be true, while you have disbelieved in it, inform me who has misled you among you. You have distanced yourselves in opposing it, and perhaps it is the truth, so you have destroyed yourselves. And His saying, 'from whom is in a distant schism,' is a statement regarding their condition and description.
