Zhalilan is a description derived from the word zhill to emphasize its meaning. It is said: a night is aleel, and a day is ayum, and similar expressions. It is what is a long, extended shade, and it is always not overtaken by the sun, and it is medium, with neither heat nor cold in it. This is only the shade of Paradise. May Allah grant us success to attain the comfort under that shade. And in the reading of Abdullah: He will enter them with a 'y' that you fulfill the trusts. The address is general for everyone in every trust.

It is said that it was revealed concerning Uthman ibn Talhah ibn Abd al-Dar, who was the keeper of the Kaaba. This is because when the Messenger of Allah, blessings and peace be upon him, entered Mecca on the Day of the Conquest, Uthman closed the door of the Kaaba and climbed to the roof. He refused to give him the key and said: If I had known that he was the Messenger of Allah, I would not have prevented him. So he twisted the hand of Ibn Abi Talib, may Allah be pleased with him, and took it from him and opened it. The Messenger of Allah, blessings and peace be upon him, entered and prayed two rak'ahs. When he came out, Abbas asked him to give him the key and to gather for him the water service and the custodianship. Then it was revealed, and he commanded Ali to return it to Uthman and apologize to him. Uthman said to Ali: You forced me and harmed me, then you come to be kind? He said: Indeed, Allah has revealed a Quran concerning you, and he recited the verse to him. Uthman said: I bear witness that there is no deity except Allah and I bear witness that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah. Then Gabriel descended and informed the Messenger of Allah, blessings and peace be upon him, that the custodianship will remain with the children of Uthman forever. It was mentioned by al-Thalabi and then al-Baghawi without a chain of narration. Likewise, al-Wahidi mentioned it in al-Wasīt and the reasons, saying: As long as this house exists, then the key and the custodianship will be with the children of Uthman. It is said that it is an address to the rulers regarding the fulfillment of trusts and judging with justice. And it was read: the trust, in singular form. 'What a good thing He advises you with.' The word 'what' may be in the accusative case, described by 'He advises you with it,' or it may be in the nominative case, as if it were said: What a good thing that He advises you with. Or indeed, what is the thing that He advises you with. The specific praised subject is omitted, meaning: what a good thing He advises you with, that is, the command regarding the fulfillment of trusts and justice in judgment. And it was read (ni'ma) with the opening of the noon.
