41We have sent down to you the Book for the people with truth. So, whoever follows the guidance, it is for his own good, and whoever goes astray, he will go astray only to his own detriment - and you are not responsible for them.

Commentary
For the people, for their sake and for their need of it, so that they may be given good news and warned. Thus, their inclinations are strengthened to choose obedience over disobedience. And I have no need for that, for I am the Self-Sufficient. Whoever chooses guidance has benefited himself, and whoever chooses misguidance has harmed himself. And I have not entrusted them to compel them to guidance, for the obligation is based on choice without compulsion.
