Regarding your status, on the condition you are in, your direction of enmity from which you have taken hold. The status means the place, so it is borrowed from the eye for the meaning as it is borrowed here. And where is for time, and both are for place. If you say: The correct speech is: I am acting according to my status. Why was it omitted? I say: For brevity, and for what it contains of increased warning, and indicating that his condition does not stop, and increases in strength and severity every day, because Allah is his supporter and helper and makes him manifest over all religion. Do you not see His saying: 'So you will soon know who will come to him'? How He warns them by being supported over them, prevailing over them in this world and the Hereafter, because when disgrace and punishment come to them, that is his honor and victory, in that victory is completed for him by the might of the Mighty from His allies, and the humiliation of the weak from His enemies who disgrace him, like one who is established in the occurrence, a description of the punishment, meaning: a punishment that brings disgrace to him, which is the Day of Badr, and a lasting punishment which is the punishment of the Fire.
