Commentary
He sent down from the sky water, which is rain. It is said: Every water on earth is from the sky, descending from it to the rock, then Allah divides it. So He made it flow and entered it, organizing it into springs in the earth, channels, and waterways like veins in the bodies. Its colors are different, with appearances of green, red, yellow, white, and others. Its types include wheat, barley, sesame, and others. It stirs when it dries up, according to Al-Asma'i, because when it is fully dried, it is time for it to rise from its place and become debris, fragments, and dust. Indeed, in that is a reminder for reminding and alerting, that there must be a wise Creator, and that this occurs by design and planning, not by neglect and carelessness.
And it may be an example of the world, as His saying, 'Indeed, the example of the worldly life,' and 'Set forth for them the example of the worldly life.' And it was read: 'Musfaran'.
