And there is none among us except that he has a known station. The described has been omitted and the attribute has taken its place, as in his saying: I am the son of Jala and the one who climbs the heights. In my hands was one of the most skilled archers among humans. A known station in worship, and the adherence to the command of Allah is restricted to it and does not exceed it, as it has been narrated: Among them is one who bows without straightening his back, and one who prostrates without raising his head. We are the ones who stand in rows, our feet in prayer, or our wings in the air, waiting for what we are commanded. It has been said: Our wings are half around the Throne, supplicating for the believers. It has been said that the Muslims have only stood in rows in prayer since this verse was revealed. And no one from the people of the religions stands in their prayers except for the Muslims, the glorifiers, the exalted, or the praying ones. The correct view is that this and what preceded it from the saying: Glorified is Allah from what they describe, is from the words of the angels, so that it connects to their mention in the saying: And certainly the jinn have known. It is as if it was said: And certainly the angels knew and witnessed that the polytheists are lying against Him in relation to the Lord of Glory, and they said: Glorified is Allah, so they exalted Him from that, and they excluded the sincere servants of Allah from it, and they said to the disbelievers: If that is the case, then you and your deities cannot mislead anyone from Allah's creation or lead him astray, except for one like you, whom Allah knows for their disbelief, not for His decree and will. Glorified is Allah above what the wrongdoers say, greatly exalted— that they are from the people of the Fire. And how can we be suitable for the Lord of Glory while we share a single nature with Him? We are but humble servants before Him, each of us has a station of obedience from which he cannot deviate, in humility to His greatness and in submission to His majesty. We are the ones standing with our feet for His worship and our wings, submissive, yielding, glorifying, and praising. And as is required of the servants for their Lord. It has been said: This is from the saying of the Messenger of Allah, blessings and peace be upon him, meaning: And there is none among the Muslims except that he has a known station on the Day of Resurrection according to his deeds, from His saying: Perhaps your Lord will raise you to a praiseworthy station. Then he mentioned their deeds and that they are the ones who stand in rows in prayer, glorifying Allah and exalting Him from what is attributed to Him by those who do not know Him, from what is not permissible for Him.
