Commentary
With the clear signs, meaning the evidence of the truth of prophethood, which are the miracles, and with the scriptures and the illuminated book, such as the Torah, the Gospel, and the Psalms. Since these things are of their kind, the coming of them is attributed to them in an absolute manner, even though some of them are for all of them: which are the clear signs, and some of them are for some of them: which are the scriptures and the book. And in it is a consolation for the Messenger of Allah, blessings and peace be upon him.
