Tafsir for verses: 30:33, 30:34
33When the people are visited by some affliction, they invoke their Lord with exclusive concentration on Him. Then once He gives them a taste of His mercy, a group of them starts at once ascribing partners to their Lord, 34so as to become ungrateful for what We gave to them. So enjoy yourselves awhile; then you will soon come to know.

Commentary
Al-dhar: the hardship from weakness, illness, drought, or other than that. And al-rahma: the deliverance from hardship.
And the 'lam' in li-yakfuru is metaphorical, like it is in li-yakuna lahum 'aduwwan. Fa tamatta'u is similar to i'malu ma shi'tum fa sawfa ta'lamun wa bi-al tamatti'ikum. And Ibn Mas'ud read: wa li-yatamatta'u.
