Commentary
The truth is from your Lord. This is a news of a subject that is omitted, meaning it is the truth, like the saying of the people of Khaybar: 'Muhammad and the army.' This is part of a narration from Anas that is agreed upon, with the wording: 'The Messenger of Allah, blessings and peace be upon him, came to the people of Khaybar while they were carrying their hoes on their necks. When they saw him, they said: This is Muhammad and the army... the narration.' It will come in Surah As-Saffat.
And his prohibition against doubting—while the Messenger of Allah, blessings and peace be upon him, is in awe of being a doubter—is for the purpose of inciting increased steadfastness and tranquility, and to be a kindness to others.
